A quiet reminder to begin again. 七転八起 (nanakorobi yaoki) is a Japanese idiom about getting back up after setbacks. We chose “Rise every time” as a short interpretation of its message.
For Karuchatei’s first kanji poster, we paired large deep-blue characters with an original geometric wave pattern inspired by seigaiha. The warm ivory background and small English line leave room for the words to speak.
Choose a printed poster or a digital download
Keep “Rise every time” where you can see it. Choose the format that suits your home:
- Printable artwork — US$4. Download one 3600 × 4800 pixel PNG at 300 dpi. Print at home or at a local print shop in a 3:4 size, up to 12 × 16 inches. Printing, paper, and framing costs are separate. Personal use only; no physical item is shipped. Get the printable artwork →

Product images are digital previews. Colors can vary between screens, printers, ink, and paper.
Build the kanji as a jigsaw puzzle
Prefer a hands-on way to enjoy the characters? Our separate 七転八起 jigsaw puzzle contains only four black kanji on white, without the poster’s wave pattern or English line. Reconnect the character lines and use the piece shapes to complete the white areas.
110-piece physical puzzle — US$19.99 before shipping and applicable taxes. Horizontal, approximately 10 × 7.99 inches, with a glossy laminated chipboard surface and a printed reference box. It uses the manufacturer’s standard jigsaw cut; the pieces are not specially cut along the kanji lines. The white areas offer fewer picture clues. Product images are digital mockups, and this is a physical puzzle rather than a downloadable file. Check the available destinations, delivery options, and final total on the purchase page.
